About the Playful Apprentice Series:
The goal of Playful Apprentice is to fuel children's dreams with actual facts about a wide range of career options to consider. Some of the careers explored include traditional community roles while others highlight emerging fields for young people to explore. This series will help ignite imaginations to turn everyday activities into forward-thinking career play. Getting a gallon of milk from the fridge isn't just part of breakfast, it's a future police officer's strength training. Piecing together building bricks is a future computer tech's first step toward building a motherboard. Stitching up a torn teddy bear becomes a future surgeon's first operation. Each story will conclude with an interview with an actual worker in the field describing the educational path, character qualities and preparation required for a career in that field. MVP Kids hopes to see every child live a productive, meaningful life, and the Playful Apprentice series allows children to examine not only what they might be when they grow up, but the kind of person they will become.
