Kevin Burgess, now better known by his stage name KB, hails from Tampa, FL by way of an Air Force base close to East St. Louis. "I grew up in a structured military family. In my house, you couldn't listen to hip-hop," KB explains. "I used to hide in a closet and listen to it on my Walkman." Fast forward to the present and rapper KB has released a mixtape, a widely successful debut album (Weight & Glory), an EP (100), and is gearing up for his second full length studio album, Tomorrow We Live. And in what was once considered the forbidden, KB has discovered redemption.
KB notes the theme of Tomorrow We Live as a "mantra of the struggle." And since no one is exempt from the struggles of life, he hopes it's a soundtrack of inspiration. KB traveled as far as Cape Town, South Africa with his Grammy-award winning production team "Cobra" and the incredibly talented songwriter Natalie Lauren (Iggy Azalea, Lecrae), and began working on Tomorrow We Live. With next level production and features from Grammy-award winning Lecrae, two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson, and more, Tomorrow We Live encompasses the rally cries KB fans know and love, while promising to push musical boundaries as his best release yet.
