What does it mean to embrace those who are different from me?
When you hear the word embrace, you might think of a hug or really leaning into something. But embracing someone is more than that. To embrace means to cherish—to deeply care for, love, and even nurture others.
All people were created in God’s image, yet we have unique and beautiful ways of reflecting that image into the world. God calls us to love every person He created, no matter what “image” we might see. This doesn’t mean we just put up with or acknowledge our differences, but we love one another deeply in spite of them.
We love because He created us all and He loved us first.
