Juno-nominated singer/songwriter Chelsea Amber brings her pop/soul sound to life with passionate vocals, uplifting lyrics, and grooving guitars. Her style calls to mind the powerhouse vocals of Alicia Keys and Lauren Daigle, the engaging lyrics of For King & Country and the worshipful abandon of Bethel Music.
Chelsea released her first album in 2007, New Beginnings, under the name Chelsea Nisbett. The album made a mark on the industry as she was recognized with three music awards including the 2008 East Coast Music Award for Gospel Recording of the Year. Her second album under the same name, Anchored Roots (2010), earned six more awards. June 2014 marked the next chapter of her musical career with the release of Introducing Chelsea Amber, which received eight accolades including Gospel Recording and R&B/Soul Single of the Year (2015 East Coast Music Awards); Artist of the Year (2016 African Nova Scotian Music Awards); Female Vocalist and Pop Album of the Year (2015 Covenant Awards); and a 2015 Juno nomination for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. Chelsea has toured Canada and the United States and graced the stage with musicians including Mercy Me, Avalon, and a duet with Rita MacNeil. In 2015 her song "Diamond in the Rough" was named a runner-up in the International Songwriting Competition.
Chelsea's drive to move forward in the music industry is fuelled by her passionate faith in God and a desire to bring hope and a sense of purpose to every audience. She explains, "Music is a powerful way to make a positive impact on the world, and I never want to waste that opportunity."
Chelsea has just released her latest full-length studio album entitled "Face the Waves". She continues to walk in her God-given calling to music, encouraging people toward hope and purpose along the way!
