The identification of these rhetorical forms can assist interpreters in identifying the overall structure of Paul's Epistles as well as the particular aspects that Paul intended to emphasize. Dr Harvey also suggests practical exegetical conclusions that can be drawn from the identification of the oral patterns Paul adopted in his letters.
