In this book, Patricia D. Brown provides a very personal and useful blueprint for readers who would like to make a pilgrimage in their own lives. As Brown points out, two paths converge in the making of a pilgrimage: the physical and the spiritual, a specific destination and a perpetual journey.

The book is divided into three parts:
  • Preparing for Pilgrimage
  • Pilgrim on the Way
  • Home Is the Journey.

Each reflection can be used in personal meditation, journaling, or discussion in small groups. Those who seek a physical or spiritual pilgrimage in their own lives will enjoy this book.

This forty-day journey brings us home transformed by opening us to unexpected spiritual depths with poignant, meditative vignettes, prayers, readings, and engaging reflection questions.”
-Joseph D. Driskill, Dean of Disciples Seminary Foundation, Pacific School of Religion

“Using psalms, insightful personal stories, and penetrating daily questions, Brown brings this ancient practice alive for us today. This book inspires the pilgrim in all of us.”
-Teresa A. Blythe, Author of 50 Ways to Pray: Practices from Many Traditions and Times
