A Spanish-language translation of Albert C. Outler's Theology in the Wesleyan Spirit (1975), this is a clear and simple, yet elegant exposition of Wesleyan theology by a renowned Wesley scholar. Outler begins with a look at Wesley's intelligent use of secular beliefs of the eighteenth century to proclaim God's word. He also offers a striking examination of Christ's message from the Wesleyan perspective. He concludes by exploring Wesley's concept that perfect love never dies, contending that this concept should be the focus today just as it should have been in the 1700s. Without perfect love, Outler argues, plans for social reconstruction and the improvement of the human life will be ineffective.
