The Antiquities of the Christian Church

1841. This volume was compiled and translated from the works of Augusti, with numerous additions from Rheinwald, Siegel and others. In preparing this summary of the rites and institutions of ancient Christianity, the author sought to make it intelligible to the English reader; and, at the same time, to present to the theological student a convenient book of reference, and to the scholar and antiquary a guide to his more extended and original investigations. Due to the age and scarcity of the original we reproduced, some pages may be spotty, faded or difficult to read.
