Paul never walked on this earth with Jesus, yet he arguably knew Him better than any man in his generation. John, the beloved apostle of Christ, walked closer with Him during His earthly ministry than any other disciple. Yet when John had an "apokalypsis," or revelation of Jesus now ascended and glorified in heaven, he fell before Him as a dead man in terror. He didn't recognize Him as the same One he walked with while on this earth. Yet He thought he was so close to Him and knew Him so well. Do you know this ascended glorified Messiah, or do you just think you do? Only the book of Revelation "unveils" or "reveals" Jesus as He truly is right now, ruling at the right hand of God. Not knowing Him is not an option. We need to get to know Him as He is before He returns so that we will be ready for Him when He comes.
